EYFS are looking forward to welcoming our new intake this week.

Year 4 creating a wattle and daub style fence that was used by the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.

EYFS  have been enjoying their first Monster Phonics lessons. They have learnt lots of news sounds, practised writing the grapheme and played different games to spot the objects with our new phoneme! Well done!

We are so proud of our football teams tonight! They played 2 fantastic matches against Ocklynge school. What a start to the league.

Year 4 concluded their Farmer John session with a nature hunt and roasting marshmellows.

Year 1 recently had a special visitor from author Jane Hissey. We were inspired by her Old Bear stories!

This Friday afternoon, children in Year 6 are studying, and emulating, the famous aviation artist - Frank Wootton.

Year 6 have been learning about the artist Frank Wootton. They have used their sketching techniques to recreate WWII plane drawings.

Our fantastic football teams went to Heron Park yesterday and won both games.  We are very proud of you all.

EYFS have been very busy this week. They had a mini Harvest Festival in their classrooms, invited their teddies to school to help them learn a poem and planted some plants in our mud kitchen.

KS2 Harvest Festival. A massive thank you to our parents for Eastbourne Food Bank donations, our Quicken Trust visitor (the children loved seeing the Nursery they raised funds for), our School Counc📷📷📷illors for reminding us we 'reap what we sow' and Miss Cornford for signing.

Year 2 were lucky to have Mini First Aid in to teach us all about first aid at home. We all learnt something and enjoyed our activity book.

EYFS have been focusing on line in their art lesson and this week, they spent time and took care while drawing their eye. They used great detail and colour choice.

We celebrated World Mental Health Day all week this week! On Monday we wore yellow to show we stand together and on Thursday staff enjoyed cake in the staff room to have time for tea and talk. 1/2

Year 2 enjoyed learning about fire today, we explored different materials being flammable and even made bread in the fire - Just like Thomas Farriner, from the Great Fire in 1666.

Year 2 enjoyed learning to play 'London's burning' on the glockenspiels today.

Year 6 have been examining artefacts from World War 2.

EYFS have enjoyed their first school trip this week. They practised their road safety by carefully walking from school to the Library. At the Library, they listened to the Librarian read a story before exploring the books for themselves.
