Hugely enjoyed the Alec Green Whistle Weekend in Aberdeen. Sara Reith and Simon Gall did an amazing job organising the event. Brilliant workshops, concerts and sessions with wonderful visiting musicians Cathal McConnell, Fred Morrison, Mary Bergin, Claire Mann, Tom Oakes.

Seinn Spioradail, will be heading to the Skye & Lochalsh Archive Centre at the Elgin Hostel, Portree next week. There will be an opening event on Friday 21st June between 5-7pm where I will be giving a short talk about the project .All welcome! seinn.org

Delighted we're hosting this rich archive of work, remembering music, listening to it, or playing it is wholly in the present. Without oral traditions, we would know very little about large parts of the world, and we would know very little from the inside.
