The Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee (GEAC) of GOI has cleared the ‘environmental release’ of Genetically Modified (GM) mustard. GM #mustard hybrid DMH-11 has potential to improve mustard yield, farmers income and reduce edible oil import in India.
