PLAYERS: If you want to have a GREAT TEAM, then you need to figure out how you can positively impact your team! This isn't just when you're playing, but when you're on the bench, in the locker room, in training sessions, on road trips, in the weight room, or in the classroom!!

YOUNG PEOPLE: Understand HARD WORK is the foundation for ANY kind of success - ON or OFF the court. Without it, you have NO CHANCE!

PLAYERS: Paying attention to somebody is a sign of respect. You might disagree w/the person, be bored, frustrated, or dislike what's being said, but you can still show respect & demonstrate what kind of CHARACTER YOU HAVE. It says more about YOU than it does the person talking.

HUSTLE IS A TALENT You don't have to tell others about your commitment or desire. Your actions will speak louder than your words. Great teams have great teammates.

Your athletic career is most likely temporary; your character lasts a lifetime. The person you are is far more important than the player you are! What are your habits/routines? Are you grateful, humble, honest. Do you care for others? Be someone people respect on & off the court!

The majority of HS athletes won’t play at the next level. The HS athletic experience should be built around what’s best for those athletes, not the few who are lucky enough to continue to play. Build your program to include all of your kids. HS sports should be about HS athletes!
