Whaikaha, & the NZSL Board wish to acknowledge the passing of Stephanie Āwheto over the weekend. Stephanie was the first trilingual (te reo Māori, NZSL and English) interpreter in Aotearoa and helped to create and modify signs to reflect Te Ao Māori.
