Experimenting with a new feature for my game: spikes that come out of the ground, inspired by Super Mario 3D World.

we were lucky to have games that looked like this

Lots of people were complaining about accidentally collecting guns, but I didn't want to add an extra "collect" button. So here is my solution: enemies drop orbs that you have to break to collect the gun. This way I hope that collecting guns is a more intentional action.

I'm pretty proud of what we achieved with N++, but on the whole my proudest game-development achievement might be that -- for a few years anyway -- N was the "kids play and share this with each other in the computer lab when they're supposed to be doing schoolwork" game. <3

I am considering porting all our shaders to Slang. Please stop me if you have bad experiences about it.
