At one time Minnesota had nearly 600 bowling alleys dotting the landscape of communities both large and small. Today by the best number available, there are about 170 still operating. Two of them are in Morrison County: Little Falls and Pierz.

Huge thanks to Kevin Anderson Architects of downtown Little Falls for allowing us to do a photoshoot on the stage built by Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser for community events. On that stage we photographed several of her clothing items housed in our collections.

Bats have taken roost in our shutters for years, causing damage to the building, and now we’ve come up with a solution: bat houses! This will give them a safe place to call their own, while keeping our museum in top shape! Welcome home, children of the night. 🦇🌕
