22 year SAR veteran Franks Kams retired from the team this month & was honored with a plaque last night. Frank has served many roles including Commander, Past Commander & Director of the Inland Empire SAR Council. Frank will be around as he works for Volunteer Forces.

Per San Bernardino County Fire #VistaFire - EVACUATION ORDER Effective immediately, all trails in the Mt Baldy area above the resort parking lot are closed. Mt Baldy ski resort, Lift #1 is open for hikers to assist in evacuation. There are NO evacuation orders/warnings for the community.

All Vista Fire closures in the Angeles National Forest have been lifted. Visitors can access the Mt. Baldy area, the trail network leading to Mt. Baldy (Mt. San Antonio), and the Blue Ridge area.

Your Fontana Station Search & Rescue team worked for over 10 hours last night to rescue two injured hikers who fell into an ice chute in Cucamonga Canyon. With the assistance of LACoFireAirOps Copter 15; both hikers were safely hoisted out and transported to an area hospital.

#SBCoFD is ready to respond with additional staffing, prepositioned resources including swift water rescue teams and heavy equipment.
