This weeks Weed of the Week is White Cockle. This week is a problem for hay fields and pastures especially. A single female plant can produce 20,000 seeds. Herbicide as early as possible and/or mowing can help control this weed.

This weeks "Weed of the Week" is Purple Loosestrife. Purple Loosestrife is commonly found in flower gardens, and can choke off riparian areas and lakes with the dense, mat-like roots. Contact our Agricultural Department at 780-349-3346 for identification and recommendations.
