Everyone is having fun at Westfield PTC’s Fall Fest today! Bouncy house, DJ, games, treats, balloon twisting, and pumpkin decorating are keeping everyone entertained despite the weather.

This afternoon the second graders from Mrs. Stolls class helped the kindergartners in Miss Yurcus’s class learn how to use the Seesaw app on their iPads.

Thanks to everyone who came out for Grandtoberfest today. It was great to see so many kids and the “grand” adults in their lives!

Thank you to Concordia University Chicago baseball coach (and Westfield dad!) Kolin Conner for bringing some CUC Baseball players to @Westfield today for math and recess fun! The students loved learning from all of the Cougar players! ⚾️

Thanks to the Concordia baseball team for coming to visit our first graders today. The kids enjoyed playing math games with the players who then joined them on the playground for recess together.

They were spooky and scary and silly at the Westfield School Halloween parade today!

Westfield staff showed their feelings about Halloween dressed as characters from Inside Out.

Miss Yurcus’s kindergarten class learned about Diwali today with help from Reva and her mother and big sister, Sahana. They listed to a story about the holiday before making a craft and doing a dance together.

The kindergartners are learning about different jobs, so Westfield nurse Linda Eledan talked to Miss Yurcus’s class today about what nurses do.

There’s lots of fun at Westfield PTC’s Winterfest today: airbrush tattoos, a bouncy house, karaoke, and activities like the chance to decorate a holiday sweater for your child’s teacher.

Great job tonight by the Westfield School drama club at tonight's Board of Education meeting. The students performed a short scene from their current play, written by Westfield LMC teacher Karl Menneke, who is one of the sponsors of the school’s drama club.

Our first and fourth grade classes had fun doing STEM activities together yesterday. They had to build and test ramps for different sized balls.

Today we welcomed the choral group Unaccompanied Minors from Glenbard South High School for a musical performance where our students had a chance to help keep the beat.

Thanks to all of the PTC room parents and volunteers who helped with today’s winter class parties. The kids had a great time with a fun variety of games and activities!

Thanks to the Glen Ellyn Historical Society for teaching our fourth graders about the early days of our community.

There were tons of celebrity sightings at the Westfield School Elementary gym today as students shared their wax museum presentations! The students selected a person, conducted research on that person, and then created a biographical display about the historical figure. Way to go!

Our kindergartners had fun today building birdhouses with help from a special adult.
