In the closing months of the Civil War, 24-year-old Horace Lincoln enlisted in the 5th US Colored Heavy Artillery. The unit was stationed in Vicksburg, MS, a key hub for prisoner exchanges. Lincoln guarded a military prison. He’s buried at Otterbein Cemetery. #TombstoneTuesday
