In some parts of the Salish Sea, kelp forests have declined by as much as 80% in the last 50 years. Researchers from Simon Fraser University are working with the Pacific Salmon Foundation to preserve the genetic diversity of kelp by developing a new seed preservation technique and #kelp biobank.
