NY has not updated nursing home Medicaid rates for inflation since 2008. The result? A depleted workforce, 6K beds taken offline since 2019, delayed hospital discharges, & long ER waits. Governor Kathy Hochul, Sen. Stewart-Cousins, & @CarlHeastie, please close the nursing home Medicaid gap!

Medicaid pays for nearly 75% of nursing home care provided in NY & has a direct impact on homes’ ability to recruit & retain staff, offer competitive wages, etc. Today, the Medicaid rates are based on 2007 costs. Governor Kathy Hochul, nursing homes NEED a 10-20% Medicaid increase!
