Charlotte residents’ Mackenzie Hughes and Webb Simpson both pledged to donate to the CMPD News Foundation $500 for each birdie and $2,000 for each eagle they recorded during the Wells Fargo Championship this year. They combined for two eagles and 26 birdies for a total of $17,000.
