But No Fault Auto Ins reform stripped lifetime benefits away from Michigan auto accident victims. What are insurance companies doing with all the money they saved?

Matt Maddock We are paying more for car insurance and getting less. The in-home healthcare after a car accident is no longer available in Michigan. You have to go to rehab facility. My elderly Mom was terrified going to the rehab facility after her car accident. (My Dad died while driving.)

Figuring out how medical bills are paid after a car accident in Michigan is one of the most stressful challenges that people injured in an auto accident have to face. Michigan Auto Law breaks it down! michiganautolaw.com/blog/2025/01/3…

Senator Aric Nesbitt You ALL conspired with the auto insurance companies to prey on Michigan citizens, gave them billions back from the catastrophic fund and they still raised rates even higher! You're all full of it, resign, no government would be better than you.

This is a huge win. A rare occasion when insurance companies and consumers positions align, for different reasons, but nonetheless a very positive outcome. These benefits are crucial for those with catastrophic injuries, and this decision sets a strong precedent for the future.

The paper trail for consumer complaints against auto insurance companies in Michigan is challenging to track because of a record-purging policy. Day 2 of my investigation of CURE Auto Insurance: detroitnews.com/story/business…
