Black women VCs managed only 0.03% of venture dollars allocated to Black VCs. I bring this up every time someone wants a victory lap over the increase in Black fund managers. The increase is only in Black male-led firms. It’s not a victory lap if the same gender gap is at play.

I'm looking forward to Black women who weren't celebrities prior to starting their entrepreneurial endeavors having success in multiple businesses, in multiple industries. It may be beauty-related for now, but I want to see more: sports, health, food, tech, education...
