On GCSE results day it’s important to recognise how the education system reproduces class inequalities.

Can anyone recommend readings on a Bourdieuian conceptualisation of space and place? Or any other good readings on space and place in sociology?

And this is why we dont talk about class in politics, media or academia - because middle class spaces & the middle class are there to reproduce the class system. Its the most important thing in being middle class.

Haven’t been posting this week, as I’m on holiday in Rome. Managed to visit Gramsci’s grave though. In my opinion, he is the most important Marxist philosopher. Unlike Marx himself, he recognised the importance of WC culture, not just viewing the WC as an economic entity. ✊
