It’s an interesting mix of emotions. I am sad to report that this month will be my last with the Galesburg Register-Mail and WCI Sports. I am happy to announce that I have taken a new job as a Digital Communications Manager for the Greater Joliet Area YMCA.

I can’t say enough about the opportunities that have been granted to me here in Galesburg over the last five years. Tom Martin went to great lengths to help bring me on for a new prep sports venture and I am so proud of the work my colleagues and I put together.

I will miss the world of sports reporting but the good thing about this new job is I will still be able to tell stories that impact the community at a bedrock organization. I will be moving to Joliet in the coming weeks and I am really looking forward to the next step.
