The #IHSA was saddened to hear of the recent passing of legendary boys basketball coach Bennie Lewis. A 4-time state champion at Lincoln HS in East St. Louis, he won 581 career games & was named to the "100 Legends of March Madness" as a part of the centennial celebration.

The #IHSA celebrates Juneteenth today, which commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States. #FreedomDay
