It is another afternoon with thunderstorms keeping temperatures in check. However, the humidity is still sky high, leading to heat index values over 100. Lower humidity is on the way for the weekend!

More rain and storms are expected tomorrow, with heavy rain possible. Some spots could see several inches of rain tomorrow. The cold front bringing this rain will also bring cooler weather and lower humidity for the weekend!

The switch from July to August turned on the tropics! Tropical Storm Dexter formed last night, and is moving away from the Carolinas. We are also watching a stalled front along the Carolinas for development late this week, and a wave coming off of Africa.
