Way-Med students learning about medical professionals and perfecting the art of suturing injuries as part of their wound care lesson. They learned continuous, simple-interrupted, and mattress stitches. They also got a demonstration on a tendon repair. #ItsABeautifulDayToSaveLives

More wound care practice in Sports Medicine. They are learning how to wear gloves and remove them when contaminated with blood. They properly debrided tomatoes that had "dirt" in them to represent a wound. Then learned how to close a wound with steri-strips. #WoundCare

Sports medicine spent today reviewing their hand bones and x-rays by tracing and creating their own x-rays! They also finished up our wrist taping unit to learn how to tape and prevent injuries! #carpals #HandsOnLearning #BetterThanAllTheWrist
