Can we even remember them? The six Holy Days of Obligation, where we Catholics in the United States attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Other countries have more โ€“ weโ€™ve just got six! We should take seriously the obligation of praying at Mass on Sundays and those six days.

This is strange โ€“ when I was a kid, I used to love helping my mom hang the laundry on the clothesline to dry. But we never did it on Sunday! No unnecessary work on Sunday. Itโ€™s time for prayer, worship, Mass, family, friends, relaxation. The Good Newsroom

As Lent begins, the Church invites us to purify our hearts and renew our lives, drawing closer to God as we prepare for the great feast of Easter. One meaningful way to do this is by repenting of our sins and frequently receiving the Sacrament of Confession. No matter how long

None of us are worthy of heaven, but we also know that the mercy of Jesus on the Cross is so infinite and eternal that it even extends after we leave this earthly life. To pray for those souls awaiting the Lord's final mercy in purgatory is a beautiful act of Catholic devotion
