Tuesday morning meant Baggeridge Challenge Academy for 6BC. We all pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones and had an absolute blast!

This afternoon's challenge was to create a structure that can transport a marble the furthest distance! Following this, we devoured some yummy ice lollies!

Welcome back to a brand new year! Kicking things off with a bit of information about our SEND workshops.

It's been a great first day! This week Year 4 are learning about the famous artist Wassily Kandinsky. Here is a selection of our artwork from today. Painting in the abstract style of Wassily Kandinsky.

Another busy day in year 4! Star Tests, TT Rock stars and the start of another Wassily Kandinsky master piece called 'Concentric Circles' using wax crayons and water colours. We'll finish them tomorrow.

What a fantastic start to year 2! We have been studying L.S. Lowry and produced our own works of art based on his work. We created a paint wash background, collaged buildings and houses and drew on people using pens.

Here's the finished product. Concentric Circles inspired by the work of Wassily Kandinsky.

Today we started to explore our new topic ‘Tribal Tales’ which looks at the Stone Age period in history. We looked at a timeline of historical events and carefully placed the Stone Age period on the line! 🕵🏼‍♂️🕵🏾‍♀️ #Year3 #History #TribalTales #StoneAge Warstones Primary

We have been loving studying The Barnabus Project by The Fan Brothers. We used the idea of failed experiments to create our own beasties. Our adjectives are there to bring our writing to life!
