Possibility exists for some strong/severe storms tonight as a squall line rumbles through. Tornado threat, while small, is not zero. Flooding, too, may be a problem as another 1-1.5" of rain expected. Stay aware today.

Been a quiet - and frankly reasonable - day across the area, but business is about to pick up. Severe thunderstorm watch issued until 10pm. Strong line of storms pushing into Mid TN currently will progress sharply eastward. A tornado or two, hail, damaging winds all possible.

Storms have weakened considerably and the severe thunderstorm watch currently in effect will expire on time at 10pm. Still expecting potentially flooding rains tonight. Use caution if out driving overnight.

Storms are on the docket for tomorrow. Question is, how strong/severe will they be. Primary axis of concern is S of I-40 and W of I-24, but the atmospheric dynamics are such that any storm could go rogue and produce a tornado. Have a plan tomorrow and be ready to react.

ETA is 7-10pm, but there could be storms around all day. Expecting 1-3" of rain, but a few spots could pick up more than that. Flood prone areas will need to be monitored.

Dangerous storms expected this afternoon and evening. All modes of severe weather possible - tornadoes, hail, damaging winds, and flash flooding. Have a plan ready to go. Stay aware. Stay connected.

Yeah, we got a storm pushing in. Rain just started and it sounds like a pressure washer hitting a tin roof. Hardly any wind. Some thunder.
