After months of negotiations failed to convince City of Cleveland that the concerns & complaints it collects from citizens through the Mayor's Action Center should be fully accessible to the public the case is headed to court.

Grateful to attorneys (Andy Geronimo and Arcola Whatley) First Amendment Clinic at CWRU School of Law CWRU School of Law for tackling issues like this for journalists and citizens.

The Mayor’s Action Center (MAC) exists to receive and respond to residents in a timely manner and is run out of the Mayor’s office. The city created four paths for residents to connect with the MAC: an online form, a phone number, an email address or in person.

Andy Geronimo Certainly. That "reasonable time" thing is the bloody wrench in our spokes though. It's always the fallback. I'm really leaning toward this being about understaffing or inefficient processes.

Today we teamed up with the The Johnson Legacy Project , and VisionNonprofitSolutions to clean off headstones for local families today. Each family we helped recieved a grief journal. Thanks to Neighbor Up Cle for the action grant that made this possible
