I hope people realise that the ceasefire is for the Palestinians in Gaza. Absolutely nothing changes for the rest of us in dismantling Zionism and fighting for a free Palestine. No pauses, no breaks, no rest until every inch of Palestine is free.

Labour MPs saying “the clue is in the name” to justify benefit cuts is wildly disingenuous. It co-opts Labour’s history to imply all those that cannot physically labour are somehow excluded from the cause. Being pro-worker does not require being anti-unemployed or anti-disabled.

Frances Ryan (@drfrancesryan) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The divide has never been worker v non-worker. It is the labouring class v the ownership class. Keir Starmer’s Labour government will do as it pleases. But do not let them distort the party’s history or purpose. Disability benefit cuts do not represent the labour movement.

Labour gov cutting welfare for disabled people while enabling landlords and the super-rich to raid our communities. We must fight for a world where we all have the things we need to live good lives. In the meantime, we must take direct action to keep each other safe!

I have nothing original to say about this, but it's genuinely fucking nuts we are living in the burnt out wreckage of enormous public sector cuts over the last decade and a half - and we're deciding to do it all again as a tonic for the disaster it caused.

Did you know that MP's can claim £5,500 per child under 18 for up to three children per year. Now I want someone to explain why they can claim for one child more than they are expecting a disabled UC claimant to live on under the changes.

This is peak liberalism, doing a bit of sign language at the same time as taking away the dignity of the disabled across the country

Save the Children says this could be the first Labour government to “oversee a rise” in child poverty rather than a decline. Still, I’m sure disabled mums can comfort their hungry children with the news Rachel Reeves has managed to stick to her fiscal rules.

Politicians ignore evidence of what works because it doesn't suit their narratives that seek to justify public sector cuts and increase police powers and the size of the profiteering prison estate. theguardian.com/membership/201…

Gender has never had a fixed definition. Plato's understanding differed from Aristotle's. The definition during the witch trials & enclosures differed to early industrial capitalism. War time definitions contradicted 1950s housewife. Western definitions differ from indigenous.
