MY instant reaction: President William Ruto could have withdrawn the Finance Bill a few days ago and saved lives. But he was obstinate, and I watched police shoot protesters dead for no reason at all

"Why is Ruto killing us?" "Why kill someone over glass that can be bought again?" President Ruto failed to read the room. And his MPs passed the Finance Bill while Kenyans were literally outside Parliament asking them to reject it

Here is something practical young people can do. Show up physically for this thing in great numbers and particulate. And write to them as well. Let us consolidate the gain that government now has to actually listen to Kenyans.
