Was practicing one of Schubert’s piano sonata and realized that one can write the most beautiful passages using simple materials. It’s ok to use simple words and phrases. You don’t need to complicate things. You don’t need to write like a native speaker. Also, 你能识字就很好了！

It all feels too real — the struggle to piece words together, the freedom, and loosing hold of Chinese when I use English to write for too long. Even the question from a professor on ‘why don’t you do creative writing in a Chinese university’ is the same. Very relatable.
