⛔ We're advising people not to enter the sea from Tankerton to Studd Hill this weekend following a pollution incident involving the Southern Water Brook Road combined sewer overflow in Swalecliffe which took place from 3.03pm to 7.19pm yesterday. We're monitoring the area.

Sadly it is not just for 24hours, now it’s day 3 of water quality warnings at Walpole Bay and there hasn’t even been any rain. What is happening Southern Water Environment AgencySE . ?

104 days after been fined £90m for dumping sewage into the environment and less than 12 hours after Gov voted to protect water companies and not our rivers, Southern Water were dumping sewage at 60, yes 60, different locations along the south coast of England. #COP26 hypocrisy

How awful that overnight there was a release from Southern Water for over 3 hours into the sea. JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE. That has ruined swimming again. And we can choose to stay out of the sea; marine life can’t.
