There is no better UIL story at WHS than the tale of Coach Donalson. As a student, he was the 2002 District Spelling Champ helping us win our first-ever District Sweepstakes. He came back to coach and to help lead the Spelling Team to five appearances at the State UIL Meet.

The Waller HS UIL Academic Team salutes: Our Principal Ms. Fletcher She has supported our UIL Team in every way in the last three years. She has been wonderful. And in those years, we have won District Sweepstakes each time. Excellent!!!

The Waller HS UIL Academic Team salutes: Ms. Baehren For 18 years, she has been our biggest fan. She was there as an AP, a principal, and as WISD Curriculum Director and now a member of the WISD Cabinet. She is a great supporter of our entire UIL Program for grades 2-12.

The Waller HS UIL Academic Team thanks: Mr. Weesner From 2012-2019, whether coaching Literary Criticism and Ready Writing, or while serving as UIL Academic Coordinator, Mr. Weesner did everything with dignity, kindness, and patience. He inspired us all.
