BLM Cleveland I think the operating thesis of Walking The Wire is that #TheWire never fully did hold up. Many guests, your VP included, have spoken to the authenticity of the street-side of the show, but the portrayal of police and prosecutors is problematic as hell in subtle ways.

Never disappointing to search quality Baltimore journos' timelines for "Simon". We talked about this in our most recent episode with the exec. dir. of Cleveland Community Police Commission, Jason Goodrick, who strongly disagreed with Simon's contention that policing was more decent before the war on drugs.

I been doing this a long time. I ain't never said nothing to no cop. I feel old. I been out there since I was 13. I ain't never fucked up a count, never stole off a package, never did some shit that I wasn't told to do. I've been straight up. But what come back?

Baltimore. Does anyone find it odd that Black ppl are 12, 13 percent of the population and are being priced out of every major city while the mayors of most major cities are Black & pro-cop?

Here's something funny about David Simon: For many years, he has preached that homicide numbers are pure and can be trusted. He wrote an article on his website about it. He tweeted about it often (eg below)! Until Sean Suiter. Suddenly the ME's office is political.

Today I picked pumpkins with the family and watched East Cleveland's law director and city prosecutor face off with Mariah Crenshaw of @ChasingJustice6 x.com/i/spaces/1OdKr…

We've been on hiatus due to a lot of life and work taking priority. Phil's book is in the final stages of editing, and BZ's back in court to cover the next chapter in the tragic story of #LukeStewart.

Gang's getting back together to get production back on track. In the meantime, a new vid on Stringer just dropped from Just an Observation that's going straight to the "Watch Later" playlist. youtube.com/watch?v=jKpFGl…

Here's a tantalizing loose end for you: Why did this author not include in his book clear-as-day video evidence that, after Suiter was shot, his partner walked over to the crime scene and was there for over a minute before backup arrived?
