Alfredo Andere Our approach is to ship new features as soon as they are ready, and create a marketing release when we feel we have a cohesive bundle. Principle is to never hold up our product team shipping value to users :)

My coworker cut our backend test suite time in half, by using triggers to track which tables needed to be wiped between tests, vs wiping all of them. Obvious in retrospect, but I haven’t seen this done before and it’s a huge win.

Apparently the hardest thing to solve with technology is thumbnailing, window management and screen sharing on a video call. All of Slack, Zoom & MS Teams do a terrible job. Google Hangouts in the browser at least lets me manage it like all the things that live in tabs.

Looks like Figma's idea of improving designer-developer relations is helping designers dictate MORE decisions up front. They're even helping designers create Jira tasks from inside Figma! Be suspicious when 8000 designers in a room clap for features made for developers to use.

I absolutely loved "Fermat's Last Theorem" by Simon Singh. Its a great blend of math history, math in pop culture, and Andrew Wiles' journey to solve Fermat's Last Theorem. Anyone have any similar recs? Hungry for some non-fiction related to mathematics or science!

Um, Fly.io I ctrl+c'd out of my sprite and when I came back in sprite c, it's basically empty again. Did I break it? I think it might be related to the fact the /tmp drive was full there for a bit :D
