You are dead wrong if you think you will leave technical stuff when you become an EM. Well, at least from my experience. In this regard, I strongly think that if you hate technical stuff, you should consider moving to another career. Not even becoming an EM will save you.

One benefit of GraphQL is that we will have the same agreed model between BE and FE. No need to normalize it on the client side anymore. And this is important because the domain modeling in the huge apps could vary wildly between the BE and client-side. Thus adding complexity.
