4/5H presented their S1 projects to a guest expert, the school principal, and their parents in the school library today. Every student contributed to a whole class presentation and showcased their learning so professionally during their 'Extreme Environments Expo'. Legends!

So, my nephew is currently hiking through the Sahara with some desert nomads. Putting together an excursion package for a 4/5 class is equally exciting, yeah?

Yo. I haven't been on here for ages. But I'm back and I have stuff to share. I'm currently about half-way through a master's degree in environmental science, teaching casually in schools, and working as an environmental educator at the Coastal Environment Centre, Narrabeen!

Down in Manly today for electric vehicle and energy event. Come on down and get a smoothie from the ‘smoothie bike’! #enviroEd #outdoorEd

Another awesome day outside, this time with an awesome group of year 8 students, considering geomorphology and the biophysical processes that shape our coastal environments. #enviroEd #outdoorEd

I dunno, but … When making a career choice, one important question you might ask yourself could be: If I met my eight year old self one day and told them this is how I spend my days, would they shit their pants and want my autograph, or would they shy away?

In the US, the UK, Spain, Japan, for example, you can take your dogs on public transport, and into pubs, etc. You can't in Aus ... why? It kinda sucks that if I were incapacitated, socially isolated, elderly, for example, I couldn't take my dog everywhere.

Another fun day at the CEC. Running transects and stratified random sampling to assess species richness and abundance on the intertidal rock platform. #enviroEd #outdoorEd

Well, Glen Innes was nice. The people were lovely. It was, however, cold enough to freeze the hind legs off of a donkey. Heading back to the coast now in Gareth Brown, via trout and bass territory, and back down to Syderz.
