We need to do something about the quality of reporting and Op-Eds in Kenyan dailies. NMG, in particular, needs to get serious about its analysis and investigative reporting in both the Nation and Business Daily.

"Once kids check out, the hurdles to success get higher, and the emotions associated with clearing them get messier. Checked-out kids become less likely than their more engaged peers to develop an identity as a learner: someone who is curious, adaptable.." theatlantic.com/family/archive…

Instead of thoroughly enjoying my Saturday, I’m busy walking around with my phone and AirPods, as I listen to my SACCO take us round in circles at our AGM.

Interesting to learn that the reason the Burna Boy concert worked out is bc the organiser (who organised gospel concerts before) involved security from the beginning and was v transparent about what experience each type of ticket buys. businessdailyafrica.com/bd/lifestyle/m…

Thanks to Country Girl 🇰🇪 I got to attend Coster Ojwang’s art exhibition and got myself a wonderful painting! Lovely way to end a Sunday. Coster is incredibly talented. If you’re able to, you can still catch his work today!

There's little to no sewer infrastructure towards the north of NBO. From Muthaiga everybody is on septic tanks. There are also no physical plans of the waterline. They were lost. The guy who knew where the line passes died. He was a clerk and couldn't draw replacement plans.

Ralph Fiennes was immaculate on Conclave. The entire cast was. There’s something about older actors. He should have won best actor. Adrien was great in the Brutalist, but nowhere close to Ralph’s grandiosity in Conclave.

Prado drivers need to call themselves to a meeting (wajiite mkutano) and interrogate why most of them drive the way that they do.
