An 18 year-old Rafael Nadal was getting booed and whistled by 15,000 people at his very first French Open.

How did he respond? He went on to win the match, the tournament, came back next year, won it again, and did so for a total of 14 times.

Rafa Nadal steps on court in Madrid to play his 3rd round match.

Once again, he’s greeted like a king.

That’s what he’s been for Spanish tennis.

And he’s led the way with so much humility and class. 👑🥹🇪🇸

Please inform us of the following, Gov Sakaja Arthur Johnson:
1. Where is this money from? If public funds, how will they be accounted for?
2. What actual mechanisms have you put in place to address the disaster facing many residents of Nairobi?
We look forward to your response.

My only contention with “vote better in 2027” is the focus only on elections. There are political processes beyond the ballot, where we are entitled to engage and where our voices should be heard. Our rights transcend election day. We aren't only meant to be heard every 5 years!

All in all, a failure to effectively communicate with your citizens is a failure to connect with them and a sure way for them to lose faith in any administration, both at the National and County level.

One of my favourite Kenyanisms is “Sisi wote hapa ni watu wazima”. A statement, threat, boundary, warning and a declaration of war. It really cracks me up 😂

Consistency for sure. Starting is so easy; changing direction even easier. But nothing will teach you more about yourself than trying to persevere at something, especially when there’s no end in sight (yet).

MSJC has championed social justice in Mathare for years. It is an incredible initiative by Mathare youth. Please donate to them if you can so that they can support Mathare residents during this devastating time.

'The problem is not just whether institutions are trusted, but whether they succeed. Few institutions actually collapse. Instead, they endure as shells of their former selves. This gradual weakening yields a particular kind of failure: the failure of partial solutions.' 💯

This was posted by someone that supposedly represents government (never mind that said docket is unconstitutional). Turning a crisis into a meme-able moment instead of updating us on the steps the government is taking to safeguard the lives of Kenyans. God save us all!
