Not only are flexposts ineffective at protecting bike lanes, flex posts are apparently irresistible for some drivers... Seattle Department of Transportation Note that this particular driver was also driving in the bike lane while holding a cell phone to record this feat.

The #MissingLink’s Crash Zone continues to be dangerous for people traveling by bicycle. We support completing the Missing Link of the Burke-Gilman Trail, but we can’t just keep waiting for that to happen. The street need to be made RSB safe now. She calls the persistent traffic casualties in Seattle, especially her husband’s death, “a shame on our Seattle.” Calls upon those who can identify the driver to step forward with info, and for a stronger #VisionZero movement.

On 7-15-22 an east-bound driver on the West Seattle Low Bridge stuck and killed Robb Mason, who was riding a bike. The driver fled the scene. If you have info about the driver, please call Washington Bike Law at 206-262-9290, or the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000.

Thankfully, King County Metro 🚏 buses have many cameras...
