Congratulations to Wes Streeting MP and Preet Kaur Gill MP. Together with BDA Shawn Charlwood and colleagues, I look forward to meeting Department of Health and Social Care on Monday. We want to make NHS dentistry fit for the future. And that will require political will.

The first step to save NHS dentistry is admitting we have a problem. @WesStreeting has done so today. There’s recognition that failed contracts & underfunding have fuelled the current crisis. There’s now a chance to move forward to rescue & reform a service millions depend on.

Very positive to see Wes Streeting MP deliver on a meeting with the BDA in his first Monday in office. Hope the start of productive engagement to tackle a broken NHS dental service.
