Good morning, it is clear that there are a number of commonly occurring questions within the local community with regard to the consultation. Based upon the feedback received so far we will put together and publish a FAQs document early next week.

We still don’t have full accessibility to our school hall for all visitors at the moment but it was still lovely to welcome some of our friends from the local community into our new canteen for the Senior Citizens’ Christmas Party.

The results of the Vyners School mock election are in and the Conservatives have won a majority with 16 of 28 seats and 42% of the vote. This is Boris Johnson constituency. Will the adults reflect the pupils? #GeneralElection19

Covid-19 update: The Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson is due to make a statement in the House of Commons at 5pm today.

The Secretary of State has announced that schools will close from Friday until further notice. Exams will now not take place in May and June. We will ensure that we give additional detail regarding these issues tomorrow.

Thank you to our brilliant team Vyners DT who have produced 300 visors for use in the NHS. Our very best wishes to Paramedic, Anna Groves Louise Dixon and all of her colleagues who continue to be heroes to us all. We hope that the visors will support their great work.

Congratulations to our Year 13 students on a fantastic set of results. They’ve worked incredibly hard and demonstrated true grit and determination. We are proud of every one of them and wish them all the very best for the future.
