A nice plump Trematooecia aviculifera bryozoan colony collected from Bocas del Toro with Smithsonian Panama and Matthieu Leray
Successful day! We recovered more bryozoan colonies transplanted 2 months ago! Some colleagues also collected the target sponge species. #WomenInScience #Ischia Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn @alice_mirasole Cristina Diez-Vives Konstantina Mitsi Blanca Figuerola ASSEMBLE Plus Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades @MSCActions #BPpostdoc
Vαnessazuℓ talking on Antarctic bryozoan diversity associated with Mogula pedunculata at #IBA2022 International Bryozoology Association. We found bryozoan species on this ascidian species in the past but I didn't imagine there was such diversity! Great work!
Well done Blanca Figuerola, your talk on the potential consequences of #ocean #acidification on bryozoan colonies was very interesting & just raises more questions on (particularly) the vulnerability of our marine invertebrate communities & ecosystems.
Nice talk by Masato Hirose on reexaminating the morphological characters of Watersipora based on morphology and molecular data at #IBA2022 International Bryozoology Association. Bryozoa in Japanese = #kokemushi
Thank you @eDNAcollab for the opportunity through this great Microgrant and to Daniel Pass and Christoph Hahn for your time, patience and good discussions! Physalia-courses@ONLINE
Mesophotic reefs are thought to be resistant to bleaching due to their 30m+ depth. Diaz et al. show bleaching of corals at depths of 90m, possibly due to warm surface waters being pushed deeper. @Clara_Diaz_974 Nicola Foster University of Plymouth DeepSeaCRU nature.com/articles/s4146…
