I abandoned and forgot myself, laying my face on my Beloved; all things ceased; I went out from myself, leaving my cares forgotten among the lilies.

“[H]eretics, although they are outside the Church, still claim the power of the Church for themselves after the fashion of apes who, although they are not men, nevertheless wish to appear as men.” — St. Cyprian (paraphrased by St. Robert Bellarmine)

This feels like a nightmare. One of the most horrific things I’ve ever seen. I feel absolutely gutted and devastated. Pray for Charlie Kirk’s soul, his young family and for our country. The violence and hatred has to stop. Our country needs Christ now more than ever.

These are the twin towers I remember every September 11. Today is the 5th death anniversary of Fr. Anthony Cekada. His fellow sentry in the watchtower Bishop Daniel Dolan is buried right next to him.
