#PYPx presenter: “I have dyslexia.” Audience: “I didn’t know that! I have that too but in Math... did you know there’s a superpower code club only we can be part of?” “No, but I will look into that, the PYPx learning won’t stop here”. Love the pride&community build UWC Thailand
The skills, knowledge and passion come alive when students are able to explore their curiosities and inquire into something they love: fast fashion versus ethical fashion. It’s clear that for this #PYPx student, this is just the beginning. UWC Thailand
This student joined my Grade 4 class from a very traditional educational model and has emerged as such a passionate inquirer and leader. As part of his #PYPx, he merged his existing love of cooking with exploring his new curiosities on healthy and ethical eating. UWC Thailand
I’m laughing that by the end of gr5 I wrote a journal from the perspective of my cat. Here #PYP students delve into gender equality, protecting oceans, eco-friendly fashion, self-worth, ableism, historical storytelling, etc. Well done 𝙹𝚞 𝙶𝚊𝚛𝚌𝚒𝚊 🏳️🌈 Jen Friske UWC Thailand

What are your strongest provocative images, videos, quotes, picture book, etc. or examples of children and "creativity," "inspiration," "expression" and/or "transformation?" @whatedsaid Emily MacLean (she/her) Kath Murdoch Chad Walsh Amelia O'Brien Rupal Joshi #pypchat
Our Primary School Outdoor Building club got inspired by our Grade 8 design class today in Khao Phra Thaeo National park - only 5 minute walk from UWC Thailand Thanks for collaborating John Miller Rob Carmichael #CallToEarth
Rewarding to see the efforts of UWC Thailand and NedIB@UWCT planting over 20,000 seedlings in mangroves across Phuket since 2015 recognized along with many other schools and organizations taking valuable environmental action every day #CalltoEarth edition.cnn.com/world/live-new…
Timely nudge of my thinking of ‘Tiering a Lesson’ before my team discusses our summative assessment for this UOI. Anita Churchville asks us to consider what we want students to “know and show” and then “level up.” #ToddleTIES
Any suggestions on articles, research, graphics or blogs on the difference between concept based (using phases) and outcome based curriculums (using grade level bands) for a PARENT audience? Nancy Snyder Cindy Kaardal Alison Camire (she/her) Amelia O'Brien @whatedsaid Thank you!
A magical morning in the National Park: our Primary Outdoor Building club got inspired by the Gr8 interdisciplinary project while Gr1 joined for their weekly forest school. Thx John Miller Emma Wilson Rob Carmichael UWC Thailand for the ‘Lord of the Flies’ collab and fun.
Parenting and screen time workshop: “this is more than a set of rules….” A great initiative Naomi Fisher
