SI Mess - Base Units should be allowed prefixes. The symbol for kg could be just "k". There is an exception "mm". This would encourage the use of SI prefixes and of consistent units. 300 kt = 300 Gg = 300 Mkg = 300 Mk 1 g = 1 mk, 1 t = 1 kk 1 billion tonnes = 1 Gt = 1 Pg = 1 Tk
