Vegan because at some point in our life we realized that we are not more important than anyone and decided to stand up for those we were taught to ignore.

having a conversation about climate change and environmental destruction without including animal agriculture is disingenuous and shady.

If our movement toward liberation does not include the planet and nonhuman animals it's not liberation and we will remain stuck in a cycle of violence and destruction.

SWIM FREE, LOLITA. #Lolita the orca has died after 5 decades in captivity. Captured aged 4, she spent the rest of her life in a tiny tank at #MiamiSeaquarium. Please commit to NEVER buying tickets to whale & dolphin attractions - & tell as many people as possible why. #RIPLolita

Heartbreak for the passing of #Toki (#Lolita). Captured + kidnapped from the Salish Sea, #Tokitae was originally sold to the Miami Seaquarium, for a paltry $6,000 in 1970. She died, just as plans were coming together to move her back to the ocean where she belongs. 🖤

Increased awareness can help end the suffering of other captive dolphins. Let this be Lolita’s legacy: bit.ly/45tKPEg #DolphinProject

#RIPLolita #RIPTokitae How it began: August, 1970 80 orcas captured. Using boats, explosives & nets they separated calves from their mothers. Locals were haunted by their pitiful cries. Most of the babies didn't last a year. One orca killed herself by ramming into a wall.

Wild how we call it biodiversity "loss" instead of biodiversity destruction. Biodiversity is not just spontaneously disappearing.

Since October, collective liberation vegans have risen up loudly and unapologetically for Palestinians. They are individual advocates, small grassroots orgs, and small animal sanctuaries. They aren’t the large organizations, or mainstream influencers.

I am watching a toddler die on a table in a field hospital in Rafah with half her face blown apart while listening to college students fight tears reporting on a police assault on their campus for protesting that, and I feel like I am losing my fucking mind.

May Day was born in the US, but it was suppressed here for fear that every year, we would remember the Haymarket affair, when cops and courts murdered workers striking to win the 8 hour day. Today, as militarized police attack students protesting genocide, we remember.

the fact that this already has so many likes and retweets tells me that so many people would subscribe to a total-liberationist vegan lifestyle if they knew about it. i think inherently, a lot of leftists know all oppression is connected and liberation for all is the only way.

Including the animal agriculture industry. And I see it working, with friends and family using industry PR talking points without even realizing it.

It should be much bigger news that Dartmouth’s Chair of Jewish Studies has been banned from campus for trying to defend her students. Many of these protesters are Jewish. Many of these faculty members are Jewish. Calling these protesters antisemitic is putting them in danger.

I feel like a lot of you didn't see the man crushed by the tank the girl shredded in half the multiple people carrying their family in bags the doctor who had to amputate his daughter's leg the bodies left out to rot cuz ur talking about property

This video just popped up on TikTok and my god. How inconsequential, how unimportant and transparently distracting the silly talk of “property damage” at campus protests really is.

It's crazy how much the NYT talks about things like carbon capture, "green" aviation fuel, hydrogen, and electric cars to avoid talking about the only climate solutions that actually matter - ending the fossil fuel and animal agriculture industries
