Finally got #netbsd to install on my aging box and got it to boot after disabling the nouveau driver. Just have to do without acceleration. Next step get internet working via windows ICS

FinLly have my old desktop resurrected with current of #netbsd. Still very snappy for such a old machine. Only if I can find a more lightweight browser than Firefox
