Reading On Text Percentage (ROTP) & Writing on Text Percentage (WOTP) are less than 20% during 1-hour lessons in many classes. This means kids are rdg & wtg about 20% of the lesson. My students have kids reading & writing approx. 70% of each lesson. Thus, exponential gains.
