This part in Mythili Sampathkumar’s newsletter hit me hard. Because the immigration experiences for Indian Americans pre-2000ish was *very different* than what folks have experienced in recent decades. Especially those, like my own parents, who came to the U.S. in the 50s, 60s, 70s, & 80s.
