Game/Result doesn't matter, but pretty dismal to watch that. Just so poor. Gaps everywhere at the back, bypassed in midfield, no movement or ideas in final third. We know the season comes down to the cups, but felt like a really odd team selection and really tired performance.

Wasn't sure what to expect yesterday - and sure it'd be different if this was last season and we were in a title race - but thought it worked well in the circumstances. Flags and banners looked good, and quite enjoyed the crowd noise on TV. Oh, and KDB is still on another level.

Michael Johnson, ex #MCFC, is one of English football's great lost talents of recent years. Growing up, he told himself becoming a footballer would help him overcome a "debilitating" lack of self-esteem. It didn't. It made it worse. @TheAthleticUK theathletic.com/1903978/2020/0… #MCFC

Brilliant from Arsenal/Arteta. Stopped us getting the ball to Gundogan, KDB, Silva in the first half and then we resorted to aimless crosses in the second, which played right into their hands. Pretty much the same story whenever we lose - but all felt a bit sad and predictable.

That was absolutely awful from Pep. He's a genius 90% of the time, but leaves the 10% for big Champions League games. Changes our whole set up, negates all of our strengths, leaves us looking clueless... against a decent team but one that we shouldn't respect to that degree!

That's a brilliant win at any time, especially so in the circumstances. Was feeling pretty worried beforehand but what a performance. Shouldn't obscure the fact that the squad still needs work over the next couple of weeks though.

Mental second half, brilliantly bonkers to watch, but some of City's play was so poor. Lost count of the amount of wasted attacks through poor decisions, greediness, sloppiness. An open game like that should suit us perfectly. Two years ago, we'd have scored at least five...

Rodri 90 mins, Jesus 90 mins, Sterling 90 mins, Torres not used, Bernardo not used, Mahrez not used. Good job Pep keeps pushing for 5 subs...

Pep completely right to pick that team with Dortmund/Chelsea up next. Really, just shows why Sterling, Jesus and Torres are benched for the big games. Gulf between their output and Mahrez/Foden is huge.
