21 VICSES members along with cfa_updates and Fire Rescue Victoria were awarded the rare Commendation for Service awards for roles played at two recent, high-profile bus crashes involving children. This week across two ceremonies, responders received their awards and recognised 🧡

Our VICSES Echuca Unit was a hive of activity this morning, with Emergency Services Minister Jaclyn Symes in attendance to announce today's opening of the government’s most recent Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP) grants. A great day for it! 🧡🧡

Throwback to our Women in Rescue event last month.

With around 250 women joining from VICSES units across the state, it was our biggest year of Women in Rescue yet!

Stands included road crash rescue, urban search and rescue, mass casualty, safe working at heights and more.

If you need assistance from our volunteers during a storm emergency, call 132 500. Our volunteers are responding 24/7, every day of the year.

Storms and flash flooding can occur at any time of year.

Water across roads can hide hazards and dangerous debris such as rocks and branches, and road surfaces that have been washed away. ⚠️

You can easily get caught and trapped, so don’t risk it. Never drive in floodwater.

In March, our brand new VICSES facility in Skye became fully operational!

The Skye facility is a Satellite (subbranch) of the Frankston Unit, housing resources and equipment to support the broader Carrum Downs and Skye area.

A Patterson River sunset provided a stunning backdrop for a large scale multi agency exercise hosted by the Chelsea Unit last month.

VICSES members from Chelsea, Greater Dandenong, Pakenham, and Narre Warren Units were joined by emergency management agencies across Victoria.
