American fashion designer Betsey Johnson was born #OnThisDay in 1942. She collaborated with model Penelope Tree to design the revealing black rayon dress and tights ensemble that Tree wore to Truman Capote's Black and White Ball in 1966. The Metropolitan Museum of Art collection. #FashionHistory
